Onitsuka Tiger Collaborates with Kaneko Optical
to Sell Limited Edition Eyewear Suffused with Japanese Craftsmanship
Flat Top, Clear Sunglasses for a Stylish Look
The Japan-born fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger blends fashion and sports, heritage and innovation to produce contemporary collections.
Onitsuka Tiger will sell limited-edition sunglasses produced in collaboration with Kaneko Optical. Established in 1958, Kaneko Optical is a Japanese company with a long history of craftsmanship in the manufacturing of eyewear frames. It has brought diverse masterworks into the world for which it has garnered high acclaim.
The collaborative merchandise to be sold are the iconic clear-frame sunglasses that were showcased at Milan Fashion Week in February.
They employ clear lenses that highlight the “shadows” which is the theme of the 2022 Fall/Winter Collection. They are finished to give a clean and noble impression. The lenses are of three colors: clear, cool blue, and fashionable yellow. The frame is made of acetate for a glossy feel and superior impact resistance. They are a colorless and transparent design.
The sunglasses feature a straight-line flat top and volumy lenses which cover half your face. Their unique shape produces an intelligent and contemporary ambience. They match a volumy sweater or casual getup, and accent any ensemble.
They are planned for sale from September 9, 2022 at nationwide shops and the Onitsuka Tiger Online Store.
