Onitsuka Tiger’s Yellow Collection Concept Store
Opens in Omotesando, Tokyo

Onitsuka Tiger launched its concept store for the Yellow Collection in Omotesando, Tokyo, on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Located in the heart of Omotesando, this store presents a contemporary environment that harmoniously fuses Japanese tradition with Tokyo’s avant-garde aesthetics, showcasing the outstanding craftsmanship. Inspired by the interplay between Tokyo’s energetic vibrancy and its subtle sense of order and materials, the space reflects both the brand’s heritage and the essence of the city’s dynamic characteristics.
The façade radiates with Onitsuka Tiger’s signature bright yellow, while the brand logo in stylish lettering elevates its visual appeal. Louvers that capture light and shadow to evoke fluidity with backlit panels establish a harmonious rhythm that links Omotesando’s lively metropolitan landscape with the refined inner world crafted by the brand.
The store features four floors that embody the quintessence of the brand’s craftsmanship while paying homage to Japanese culture. Each floor creates a contemporary spatial aesthetic through a dialogue of mirror-like reflections, industrial textures, and color contrasts. The structural design, reminiscent of Shoji sliding doors and bamboo blinds utilized in areas like the ceiling and fixtures, reinterprets traditional Japanese beauty in a modern manner through the incorporation of diverse materials.
The three floors from the first basement to the second floor primarily showcase the collections presented at Milan Fashion Week and DENIVITA, which highlights Made in Japan denim. The vibrant yellow embodies the brand’s active spirit, while the contrasting dark accents on the floors and walls introduce sophisticated beauty. The glossy finish, achieved through multiple layers of color applied and polished by skilled craftsmen, reflects the abundant light that pours into the store, capturing the vibrant energy of Tokyo.
Furthermore, the monumental yellow glass element, meticulously hand-assembled with exceptional craftsmanship, exudes a commanding presence, energizing the entire space and symbolizing the brand’s dynamism. When paired with the lattice-patterned ceiling and lighting, it adds depth and sophistication to the space while incorporating a futuristic touch.
The third floor highlights heritage-style items reimagined with a modern twist on archival charm, offering visitors a space to uncover a renewed sense of fascination.
This store was designed under the supervision of Studio Dini Cataldi. Its colors, materials, and innovative spatial design illuminate Omotesando, inviting visitors into a unique realm where tradition and innovation harmoniously coexist. A variety of materials interact with light and evolve in appearance over time, creating a dynamic and inspiring environment for an enjoyable shopping experience.
