Art Gallery Project offering international support for creativity and craftsmanship Establishing Tiger Gallery™
The first exhibition will be held at the London flagship store
Godwin Champs Namuyimba’s exhibition at the London flagship store
In the summer of 2022, Onitsuka Tiger launches Tiger Gallery™, an art gallery project supporting a variety of contemporary artists while facilitating opportunities for dialog regarding art, innovation and style. The gallery is inside the Onitsuka Tiger Regent Street, London Flagship store, located on one of the world’s leading shopping streets.
The gallery, curated by Yuki Terase of Art Intelligence Global, will regularly hold exhibitions of works by talented contemporary artists from around the world. Besides offering exhibition space, the gallery will also widely support the activities of artists by presenting them with other opportunities such as designing the store windows facing onto the main street, Regent Street.
Responding to issues faced by artists, Onitsuka Tiger will fully support artists and the transmission of artistic craftsmanship by offering our flagship store in the heart of London as an exhibition space. Also, we intend the store to be a base for community revitalization. Among other effects, this will create opportunities for people to readily access art that enriches the heart, promoting wellness.
The initial offering in the Tiger Gallery™ project is an exhibition of the works of Uganda-based artist Godwin Champs Namuyimba, running from August 4th to September 17th, 2022. We are also planning to roll out in stages a virtual gallery in which the works of artists on exhibit can be enjoyed online at the Tiger Gallery™ official site.

■First up in the Tiger Gallery™ is young Ugandan artist Godwin Champs Namuyimba. The combination of detailed lines and sense of colors used in the works of Champs Namuyimba gives poetic expression to the hectic pace of daily life while causing us to reflect on ever-evolving objects and the fleetingness of human lives. In August 2022, an exhibition of the works of Champs Namuyimba is being held in the gallery space of Onitsuka Tiger’s flagship store in London’s Regent Street.
■Based in New York and Hong Kong, Art Intelligence Global was established jointly in 2021 by art marketers Amy Cappellazzo, Yuki Terase and Adam Chinn.
