(Year of Onitsuka Tiger) Kicking off a year-long project commemorating the Year of the Tiger! We begin with a special collection in collaboration with Yasushi Nirasawa.

The end of the year is approaching, and 2022 is just around the corner.

Next year is the Year of the Tiger, the iconic animal symbolizing the Onitsuka Tiger brand. The Year of the Tiger only comes around once every twelve years, so in commemoration we’re launching the Year of Onitsuka Tiger, a project in which we’ll collaborate with a variety of artists to produce goods based on the motif of the tiger.

The initial collaboration features items developed with the legendary illustrator Yasushi Nirasawa, a man of many talents including design and model making, known as “The Genius of Heteromorphy.” The collection contains two creatures inspired by the Onitsuka Tiger stripes: the Onitsuka Tiger Man in blue and in red. A number of items are available, including T-shirts and sweats.

We have also commissioned figure modeler Takayuki Takeya to create a one-and-only figure based on a 3D version of the Onitsuka Tiger Man illustration. Be sure to come see the not-for-sale figure at Onitsuka Tiger’s flagship store in Omotesando or at other display locations.
