Interview series: Introducing Reiko Takagaki’s selected items

As always, we present our selected items’ blog. Today we introduce Reiko Takagaki’s selected items that she wore during our interview with her.

Reiko Takagaki has been on the covers of many women’s magazines and is one of the most popular models among female audiences.

We asked Takagaki, who gives an impression of “sophistication and maturity”, to take on an Onitsuka Tiger style. Even though the clothing items were casual, they looked elegant and chic when worn by Takagaki.

Recently, the topic of “mature style” has become extremely popular among women’s magazines. So, in this interview, we sat down with Takagaki to get some hints on how to achieve and enjoy such elegant looks.

Takagaki was able to actually feel the coziness of these items: “The clothes that I often wear in photo sessions are more conservative but today’s outfit is appropriately modern and casual. I personally prefer to wear these kinds of clothes in my private life, so I was happy to be able to wear them during the photo shoot. These outfits have a tight bodyline but at the same time they are very easy to move around in.”

As for the shoes, she selected high-cut thick shoes. HIPPETYHOP is shoes that is based on basketball shoes but are specially developed for the ladies. While keeping the casual spirit, it has a simple upper and a sharp toecap that gives these shoes increased femininity. With an E.V.A. wedge heels that gives these shoes heavy cushioning, their coziness is a guaranteed thing.

Takagaki: “From the moment I put them on, they just fit and were a perfect match for my feet. I wear sneakers a lot and I tend to pick conservative colors and I often match them with a modern style.”

One amazing comment she made during the interview was “even if I become an old lady, I still want to wear clothes that make me look cool”.

Once you meet her, you cannot help but become a fan of hers. That is definitely Takagaki’s charm. During the photo shoot, the crew was enchanted by her beautiful smile and her cheerful aura. We surely are looking forward to seeing her flourish in the future!
