What cookies and similar technologies are used on the services?
We and our third-party partners use a variety of cookies and similar technologies on the services, including:
Cookies. Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer by your web browser. A cookie allows the services to recognize whether you have visited before and may store user preferences and other information. Cookies also can record events related to your device’s activity on our services, including the pages viewed, products viewed, purchase history, and date and time of browsing. They also can record information related to your device (e.g., browser type, device type, operating system, version, IP address) and events relating to ad serving activity, such as the number of ads displayed on your device, and ads clicked.
- First-party cookies are placed by the site that you visit. They can make your experience on the web more efficient. For example, they help us remember:
o Items in your shopping cart;
o Your log-in name; and
o Your preferences, such as your preferred language or location.
- Third-party cookies are placed by a company other than the site you are on. For example, we may partner with an advertising network to deliver some of the ads you see. We also may partner with companies in order to provide personalized product recommendations based on trends and on your browsing and purchase history on our mobile app or website. Or we may partner with an analytics company to help understand how users interact with our site. These “third party” companies also may place cookies on your browser to understand your behavior over time. The use of online tracking mechanisms by third parties is subject to those third parties’ own privacy policies, and not this policy.
Pixel tags. A pixel tag or web beacon is a small string of software code that represents a graphic image request on a web page or email. There may or may not be a visible graphic image associated with the pixel tag or web beacon, and often the image is designed to blend into the background of a web page or email. It can be embedded in a web page or in an email to transmit information, which may include personal information. Pixel tags can be used for many purposes, including site traffic reporting, unique visitor counts, advertising auditing and reporting, and to determine whether a user has opened a particular email.
IP address. An IP address (Internet Protocol Address) is an address to a computer, device, or online service. It may look like this: 22.214.171.124. This is how computers are able to identify each other and know where to send information over the Internet. In general, your computer or other device is assigned an IP address from the network you are using, and it is then used to send the website data back to your web browser. A similar process is used when your phone connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi or mobile networks. Your computer or phone’s IP address may change over time or as you change locations.
Mobile identifiers. We and our third-party partners may use mobile identifiers to collect information about your use of the services on mobile devices. For example, most modern mobile devices (iOS 6, Android 2.3, and Windows 10 and above) provide mobile advertising identifiers. These are randomly-generated alphanumeric codes that are associated with your device that often come with options to reset the identifier and opt out of interest-based advertising. These identifiers have different names depending on the operating system. For example, they are called Advertising IDs on Android devices and Identifiers for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS devices. These technologies and other mobile identifiers may be used to monitor how mobile applications are used on a particular device.
Statistical identifiers. We and our third-party partners may create statistical identifiers using technical information collected using cookies and other tracking mechanisms, such as operating system, user-agent string, IP address, Internet browsing, and similar information. These statistical identifiers are created with an algorithm that uses information about your computer or device. This information makes your computer or device distinct enough for us or our third-party partners to determine with a reasonable probability that they are encountering the same computer or device. This data is used for purposes that include increasing the relevancy of ads displayed on your device.
FUNCTIONAL COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
· Save preferences, such as language, location, the number of search results to be displayed, log-in details, etc.;
· Keep track of items that you add to your shopping cart;
· Detect misuse of our website and services, such as by recording a certain number of consecutive unsuccessful log-in attempts; and
· Distribute the load on our servers, which keeps the services available.
In order to determine which parts of our services users are most interested in, and to improve the services, we measure and test the services using various analytics tracking mechanisms. This includes software from various third parties, including Google Analytics. These third parties may set and access cookies on your computer or other device and may use similar technologies to collect information about your activity on the services. The information regarding your usage of our websites and mobile applications may be transmitted to such third parties and stored on a server in the US.
· Keep track of the number of visitors to our web pages and usage of our mobile applications;
· Keep track of the amount of time each user spends on our web pages or mobile application features;
· Determine the order in which a visitor visits the various pages or features of our website or mobile application;
· Assess which parts of the site need to be changed;
· Display products on the services that are more likely to be of interest to visitors and users; and
· Optimize the website or mobile application.

The services also use feedback cookies provided by third-party partners. These cookies allow you to share your ideas, questions, ratings, and problems with us, share your feedback with others, and read feedback left by others. These third parties also may use and store cookies to distribute the load of the webservers.
Online and Interest-Based Advertising
Our services may enable third-party tracking mechanisms that collect data over time and across unaffiliated websites and mobile applications for use in interest-based advertising. For example, third parties may use the fact that you visited the website or used features of a mobile application to target online ads for ASICS products to you on non-ASICS websites and mobile applications. In addition, our third-party advertising partners might use information about your use of the services to help target non-ASICS advertisements based on your online behavior in general.
To offer you a more consistent and personalized experience, and to provide more relevant advertising, information collected through one source may be combined with information we obtain through other sources. This may include information that allows us or our partners to establish connections among related web browsers or devices (such as smartphones, tablets, and computers) for targeted advertising, analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes. We or our partners may match your browsers or devices if you log into the same online service on multiple devices or if your browsers or devices share similar attributes that support an inference that they are used by the same person or household. This means that your online behavior (information about your activity on websites or apps on your current browser or device) may be combined with information collected from your other browsers or devices. We also may supplement the information we collect with information obtained from third parties.

How can I adjust my browser settings and delete cookies or mobile identifiers?
If you do not want websites to store cookies on your computer, you can change your browser settings so that you receive a warning before certain cookies are stored. You can also adjust your settings so that your browser refuses most cookies or only certain cookies from third parties. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored. Please note that you will have to change your settings for each browser and computer you use. Moreover, such methods will not work with respect to certain advertising-related tracking and non-cookie tracking technologies. In order to opt out of such tracking, you must use the opt-out choices described below in “How can I opt out of certain analytics and interest-based advertising?”
Please be aware that if you do not want to accept any cookies, we cannot guarantee that our website will function properly. It may be that several functions will be unavailable to you or that you will even be unable to view certain parts of the website.
The procedures for changing your settings and cookies differ from browser to browser. If necessary, use the help function on your browser or click on one of the links below to go directly to the user manual for your browser.
You can also reset the advertising identifiers on your mobile device in the device settings. iOS users can visit Settings > Privacy > Advertising > Reset Advertising Identifier. Android users can visit Google settings > Ads > Reset advertising ID. These controls work much like deleting cookies in a browser—the device is harder to associate with past activity, but tracking may still occur using the new advertising identifier.
How can I opt out of certain analytics and interest-based advertising?
You may opt out of third-party interest-based advertising in web browsers and mobile applications by following the instructions below. Please note that the opt-out will apply only to the specific browser or device from which you opt out, and therefore you will need to opt out separately on all of your browsers and devices. If you delete or reset your cookies or mobile identifiers, change browsers, or use a different device, any opt-out cookie or tool may no longer work and you will need to opt out again.
· Web browser opt-out. · Mobile application opt-out. To opt out in mobile apps, please download the Digital Advertising Alliance’s AppChoices tool at www.aboutads.info/appchoices and adjust the advertising preferences on your mobile device. To adjust your advertising preferences in iOS, visit Settings > Privacy > Advertising > Limit Ad Tracking. To adjust your advertising preferences in Android, visit Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of interest-based ads.
Please note that our services currently do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals.
