Onitsuka Tiger opened the “yellow collection” concept shop on Omotesando on April 27th.
Located in the heart of Omotesando, it is a contemporary space wherein Japanese tradition, the latest in fine art and craftsmanship in Tokyo come together. Inspired by the contrast in the energetic pulse of the city and the subtle sense of orderliness and materials, the shop highlights the tradition of the brand and the dynamic energy of Tokyo.

Hayato Isomura, Riko Fukumoto, and Yoji Iwase visited the shop for the opening. We asked them about their impressions of the shop and the items on display.

Hayato Isomura

──What is your impression of the shop?

You immediately recognize the Onitsuka Tiger Yellow exterior that has an allure that draws you in. The interior is urban and the space can be enjoyed with the five senses like a museum or innovation hub. Each floor has a concept so it was a thrill climbing the stairs to the next level!

──You also came to Milan Fashion Week. What is your impression of the 2025 Spring and Summer Collection items having thrown them on?

Having the chance to throw on the garb that I saw on the runway recalled fond memories of the show. This is a matching top and bottom that I thought was cool and took photos of so I was really into it! The military jacket design is nice and the stoic blue is just right for the summer! You can wear it over a t-shirt and it can be used as a shirt or jacket so it is versatile.
The loafers also got me enthusiastic. They caught my eye on the runway and I am happy to get to wear them now. They are roomy, there is a sense of playfulness with the Onitsuka Tiger logo for the signature coin, and they can be mixed and matched with different kinds of pants. They are so comfortable to walk in! Onitsuka Tiger shoes are right for my feet. They are designed well and are awesome!

──Tell us your impression of the shop.

The yellow enhances a sense of presence and attracted me. There are collection items on each floor and there are spaces for shoes in many variations and shades!

──Did you find items that you particularly liked?

The yellow overalls that I am wearing now! Wearing them together with formal high heels is nice! The thick heels make for steady walking and don’t wear me out! The denim was firm and I liked the shape and it was easy to move about in. It can be worn casually or more fashionably so it was a change for me!

Yoji Iwase

──What is your impression of the shop?

The shop interior is splendid and colorful against a yellow base tone. The garb and particularly the shoes are neatly arranged according to design so it was a thrill and consumer friendly!

──What do you think of the DENIVITA series that features Japanese denim that you are wearing?

The comfort of the pants is excellent! The straight type pants are not too wide or too slim but are a perfect fit for me! The jacket is a zip-up that you can wear oversized or tighten up at the hem for a slim look. It can be worn fashionably by mixing and matching it with various ensembles.
