Onitsuka Tiger Kyoto Opened August 28th
Actor Hayato Sano attended the opening
Onitsuka Tiger Kyoto opened on Kawaramachi, Kyoto on August 28th.

Out of reverence to Kyoto where old Japanese history and traditions still thrive, Onitsuka Tiger Kyoto has installed a concept which reinterprets Kyoto from the unique perspective of Onitsuka Tiger. The interior incorporates materials with an old-world flavor such as latticework, roofing tiles, and cobble paving, and the adoption of a traditional Kyoto town house architectural design has been brushed up with modern refined elegance.
The outlet will sell four sub-brands: “Onitsuka Tiger” is the heritage style that arranges iconic archive models in modern vogue; “ONITSUKA TIGER” a mode style of the latest collections announced at Milan Fashion Week; “THEONITSUKA” a formal collection with a focus on leather items; and “OTIGER” proposes an elegant yet, feminine style of shoe. The store also carries the NIPPON MADE series that, through timeless beauty hand-stitched by artisans, transmits Japan’s craftsmanship to the world.
The following five items are sold only at Onitsuka Tiger Kyoto.
These NIPPON MADE Series items use quality Japanese cowhide for the upper and artisans apply dye and gold leaf by hand to create an original feel. The molded insole provides comfort by combining foam materials of different hardness to retain cushioning, prevent arch overpronation, and reduce heel wobbling.

Actor Hayato Sano was there to commemorate the opening of the new outlet:
“This was my first time at the Kyoto Outlet. The Kyoto store-only items appealed to me and the shoes made with Japanese striped patterns were inspirational. I wore the items I am dressed in for the photo shoot for the first time and thought they were comfortable as I usually wear oversized clothes. I want to wear them privately too!”
