Hayato Isomura Visits Onitsuka Tiger Milan Store!
Hayato Isomura who was invited as a guest to the Onitsuka Tiger 2025 Spring/Summer Collection Show also visited the Onitsuka Tiger Milan outlet. I asked him about his impressions about the runway and the Milan outlet.
──What are your impressions of the Milan Collection?
I enjoyed it a lot! I was watching the diverse garb that came out along the runway and began to feel immersed in a mysterious urban mood and a style that was like looking at modern art. The entire space was almost like being in a modern art museum and I liked it tremendously!
──You came to Onitsuka Tiger Magazine in 2022, but how has your impression of Onitsuka Tiger changed compared to back then?
I began getting interested in Onitsuka Tiger due to the OT stripes on the MEXICO 66 sneakers. This was my impression of the brand for quite some time. In recent years, Onitsuka Tiger’s range of designs has increased drastically such as with its lineup of dressy shoes. The number of outlets has also increased so the designs and brand strength is making headway around the planet.
──We ask various guests about their impressions on OT’s multifarious designs.
This was also the case with this current collection, but what caught my eye were designs which were not originally part of the Onitsuka Tiger image such as female apparel with a soft material feel. I felt that retro and modern elements had taken good shape.
──What did you think about the Onitsuka Tiger Milan outlet?
It was a wide and spacious and lovely store! While retaining the mood of the original building, the world of Onitsuka Tiger is unfurled before you and it got me excited! I have also been to the outlets in South Korea and Berlin, but what struck me was how they are installed in locations which are expressive of the charm of these cities.
──What items in this collection caught your eye?
I really enjoyed the top and bottom jacket sets. I personally favor white so this was a really huge favorite of mine (laughs). I also liked the worker jacket. The khaki-like flavoring is cool!
What struck me when I tried it on was the double-face material (material with two superimposed fabric) and it felt really good against my skin.
The safari jacket was also excellent. The silhouette is cleanly reigned in so it makes your outline look neat.
──It would also be great to match and mix sneakers with this getup.
You’re right. Onitsuka Tiger shoes are colorful and have an ample design selection. So it is playful to choose the sneakers by matching and mixing them with subdued fashion with repressive number of colors such as two-tone garb.
