Sneakers Produced in Collaboration by Onitsuka Tiger x VALENTINO GARAVANI Go on Sale

On July 17 (Friday), Onitsuka Tiger released limited edition sneakers that were produced in collaboration with Valentino Garavani. These sneakers were announced in Valentino’s 2020 Fall/Winter Men’s Collection.

Apart from the color variations announced in Paris on January 15 (Wednesday), limited edition colors only sold in Japan were also released.

These sneakers were designed by VALENTINO creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli who reinterpreted the Onitsuka Tiger iconic model “MEXICO 66 SD.” The VALENTINO “V” logo boldly designed on top of the Onitsuka Tiger stripes on the upper have been printed by hand. Both brand logos have been designed into a special label for the shoe tongue, and on the insole. The midsole employs a material with superior cushioning for the heel, and the outsole utilizes a proprietary material with superior durability and grip.

A total of four color variations were released in the VALENTINO Collection and showcased on the runway: basic “WHITE,” and the brilliant neon colors of “SHOCKING ORANGE,” “SAFETY YELLOW,” and “HOT PINK.” These four models are sold in Japan at VALENTINO Ginza, Omotesando, Hankyu Umeda, Hankyu Men’s Osaka, Matsuzakaya Nagoya, Fukuoka Iwataya, and at the VALENTINO Online Store.

At Onitsuka Tiger, the brand’s iconic tricolor limited edition model “WHITE/DIRECTOIRE BLUE” is sold at Onitsuka Tiger Omotesando, Ginza, Namba, and at the Onitsuka Tiger Online Store.

As well, there is the Japan limited edition color “WHITE/CLASSIC RED.” This color is sold at VALENTINO Ginza, Omotesando, Hankyu Umeda, Hankyu Men’s Osaka, Matsuzakaya Nagoya, Fukuoka Iwataya, the VALENTINO Online Store, Onitsuka Tiger Omotesando, and at the Onitsuka Tiger Online Store. Sales from the Japan limited edition color will be donated to NPO KIDSDOOR that supports childrearing by households that have become distressed due to the coronavirus crisis.

These shoes are sold in each color for 58,000 yen (tax not included)
