Onitsuka Tiger has announced the launch of the “ITALIAN MADE” series, which incorporates the highly regarded craftsmanship and design of Italy

In this series, two of Onitsuka Tiger’s heritage models: the “MEXICO 66™” and “FABRE™” have been reinterpreted using Italian leather and vintage finishes crafted by Italian artisans. New expressions and possibilities have been given to the archive models, elevating them to refined items that possess depth and individuality. “MEXICO 66™ IM”, “FABRE™ LO IM”, and “FABRE™ MT IM” will be available starting September 16th at select stores in Europe, with a gradual rollout to select stores in other regions from late-October onwards.

The “ITALIAN MADE” series is characterized by its iconic Onitsuka Tiger design and functionality, enhanced by the allure of Italian leather and unique expressions created by artisan craftsmanship. The simple and minimal form highlights the smoothness and luster of the material, harmonizing with the Onitsuka Tiger stripes. Additionally, the vintage processing by artisans adds a touch of sophistication while maintaining a casual feel. Notably, the “MEXICO 66™ IM” features a new silhouette with a thicker cup sole instead of the usual “MEXICO 66™” thin sole, which beautifully accentuates the vintage finish and offers a modern, trendy impression.

This series is crafted entirely in Italy, bringing out the charm of Italian leather known globally for its texture and durability. By blending Onitsuka Tiger’s design and technology with the skill and meticulous finishing of master Italian shoemakers, the series achieves both a supple wearing experience and an aesthetic beauty akin to an art piece. The unique colors and textures created through artisanal vintage processing impart a sense of richness and depth, as if the shoes have been cherished and worn for years.

The “ITALIAN MADE” series will be available starting September 16th at select stores in Europe and online, with a gradual rollout to select stores and online shops worldwide from late-October onwards.
