Yoji Iwase look.2

Since his show biz debut one and a half years ago, actor Yoji Iwase is now the talk of the town with fans commenting on social media, “he is so attractive!” This year he has appeared in several TV dramas which have made him a household name such as “Captured New Airport,”“Takara‘s Treasure” and “Minami is the Boyfriend!?” and has launched his fan club this summer. He is an up-and-coming actor with a big following. Look 1 enjoyed popularity and now Look 2 dresses Iwase in chic monotone Onitsuka Tiger garb. Iwase is renowned for dressing up in his private life too. Which Onitsuka Tiger garb was love at first sight for this fashionista?

Look 2 is an all-black ensemble with a wool overcoat as the key element that excites a Fall and Winter-like elegant taste. On the inside of the overcoat can be found a half-zip rib knit sweater layered on top of a knit vest inner accompanied by mannish cotton pants and resplendent leather shoes. Layering brings out the material taste of each of the different elements and gives the monotone ensemble a sense of depth. The half-zip rib knit sweater is a key element for Onitsuka Tiger this season often appearing on the brand’s runway. It is one item that can change your look dramatically by throwing it over knitwear or a shirt and will elevate your styling potential.

“This ensemble is something that I would ordinarily wear for the occasional formal outing and I liked it a lot! It is an all-in-black ensemble, yet each of the materials and garb details are highlighted so that it is not humdrum in taste. The overall balance was splendid with the shoes as an accent.”

When you think of Onitsuka Tiger, the shoes are usually the highlight. Most people think sneakers, but this current look has Mr. Iwase wearing hybrid leather shoes.

“Of course I enjoyed the clothes and I liked these shoes a lot! They have a bulky form so they stand out even when wearing a long overcoat. They are strong in impact, but the black leather makes them easy to coordinate and you can wear them like boots, so I would prize these shoes to mix and match with any outfit for the Fall and Winter season. While the yellow shoes laces are not often seen on leather shoes, they become a good accent for this all-in-black ensemble.”

Iwase talked about his favorite elements of this ensemble with excitement. I asked him about his favorite element for look 2 and he thought about it seriously saying, “I think the shoes are my favorite item! But I also liked the overcoat quite a lot. I can’t choose a favorite among them.”

On the day of the photo shoot on a certain day in July, his own clothes that he wore to the shoot were fashionable too and I asked him about his taste in garb to which he instantly replied, “I enjoy the outfits I wear on a film set too but I also enjoy matching and mixing in my private time!” In the summer he wears a T-shirt together with pants of various silhouettes for a simple taste. He enjoys wearing jackets in the Spring, Fall, and Winter. I asked this fashionable man about his wish list for the Fall and Winter season.

“This year I am looking for a white leather and a denim jacket. For the Winter I am also looking for a jacket with faux fur. I am also looking for a coat that will reveal the line of my body neatly. The overcoat that I wear for Look 2 is ideal! When I think about it again, I really enjoyed the Onitsuka Tiger overcoat for this shoot. I want it!”

The overcoat is a fashionable item that is both refined and elegant. What Iwase liked the most was the sense of height. It is a good design for those who enjoy overcoats with a slightly long length designed to hide the silhouette past the knees. It pushed the right points.

“Buttoning up the overcoat shows off your body line neatly and shawling the overcoat without buttoning is also good. It can be coordinated for a slightly cool and rough look as well. It is an item with great potential for matching and mixing!”

Being a fashionista means different things for different people. For Iwase, it means choosing what garb to wear and coordinate as well as personal grooming.

“I have an important routine to maintain myself in tip-top condition. I get up in the morning and take a cold shower. Then I wash my face. After my skin is silky, I wear some skin toner, facial pack, then under eye serum. This is my regular skin care regimen when I get up in the morning and before I retire at night. I don’t take a cold shower at night, but I try not to neglect the other aspects of this routine.”

He also has other routines to upkeep his condition such as by going to the gym regularly and stretching after bathing.

“Stretching is quite important for my line of work. If my body is inflexible, I can’t perform well and I can’t move nimbly. It will affect my performance so it’s something that I do not neglect.” He showed me a part of him that was sincere and industrious. I can’t wait to see him in future roles!
