ONE N’ ONLY look.2

The dance and vocal group ONE N’ ONLY is a six person unit comprised of members Tetta, Rei, Eiku, Hayato, Kenshin, Naoya. Look 2 has them dressed up in subdued Fall colors and a cool, adult demeanor.

Tetta: “This wool matching two-piece is completely different from Look 1. Trying on this garb has made me want to try on more adult fashion ordinarily!”

Eiku: “I wear a beige colored get up. I was kind of apprehensive about whether or not it would fit me, but it was a perfect fit and lifted my spirits! I particularly enjoy the wide silhouette pants that give off a shine when you walk. I feel like walking along Ginza if I go out wearing these!”

Kenshin: “I wear a coat on coat style that is completely new to me. The shoes are bright orange near the heel. They look cool when you catch a glimpse of them.”

Naoya: “My look is a rough down jacket and a pair of chic pants topped off with shoes that are not black but a brighter beige color; the ensemble is playful and I personally enjoyed it! In particular, these pants are nice. They are a tad wide, yet the silhouette is sturdy.”

Hayato: “The length of my pants was aggressive which is refreshing! The boots that went to match looked meaty, but they are actually quite airy! They are good with dance so I enjoyed them immensely. I tend to be a stickler about the sole of a shoe and these have a flat sole and the toe and heel were spot on and made it easier for me to move around in.”

Rei: “I particularly appreciate Japan-made things and Onitsuka Tiger’s hand-made things are fit and functional. The boots I wear I thought would be hard, but they turned out to be perfect fit without any pressure!”

Time flows differently for these members who have spent six years working together. They check each other’s dance moves, they look into the camera with a strong face when the camera starts rolling, they show off their garb to each other in between shots, they share in each other’s laughter and relax. I felt the strength that mates have who understand each other’s personalities and respect each other. I set a topic of discussion, “small goals that you would like to achieve.” What began with how they spend time in the dressing room ended up being what would happen if they all moved into a shared house.

Eiku: “A small goal is that I want the dressing room to be kept a little bit cleaner (laughing).”

Rei: “That’s about right. Let’s have that guy next to me work a little harder.”

Tetta: “Take it easy (laughing). It’s a jungle after all (laughing).”

Rei: “It’s you Tetta (laughing).”

Tetta: “I don’t intend to spoil everything, but after setting some bounds, my stuff sticks out without my realizing it…”

Hayato: “No one can compete with Tetta.”

Kenshin: “I would like for all of us to try living in a shared house for once!”

Tetta: “That sounds nice! Let’s do it!”

Hayato and Eiku: “I want to do that too! Agreed!”

Rei: “You all say you wouldn’t mind doing so, but it would be Naoya and I doing the cooking (laughing).”

Kenshin: “I would also do some cooking!”

Eiku: “You!! (laughing).”

Naoya: “I was spooked for a second (laughing)!”

Kenshin: “Ha, ha, ha (laughing)!”

Tetta: “Kenshin won’t do as he would turn sunny side up eggs into scrambled!”

Hayato: “Kenshin truly can’t cook (laughing). Leave the cooking to Rei.”

Rei: “My workload seems a little too much (laughing)!”

Hayato: “How about we try it for just for one month!”

All together: “One month is too long (laughing)!”

Kenshin: “But there are many bands that live in a shared house!”

Hayato: “We should do it too (laughing)!”

Tetta: “2 nights 3 days is just right.”

Kenshin: “That’s a vacation (laughing)!”

Tetta: “I am the type who needs his alone time. If we lived together for a week, I may run away (laughing).”

Hayato: “If we divided up the work, Naoya seems like he would do the cleaning.”

Naoya: “Just so you know, I love cleaning! That experiment would end with me and Rei doing most of the work (laughing)!”

Tetta: “Eiku would support the cooking and cleaning.”

Eiku: “That is my specialty!”

Tetta: “That must mean that I would do the shopping?”

Hayato: “Tetta could do the hard labor!”

Kenshin: “I would water the plants…”

All together: “What are talking about (laughing)!”

Tetta: “This is why we can’t live in a shared house (laughing)!”

Hayato: “I would try to lift everyone’s spirits so we can live together!”

Tetta: “Hayato would break the tension with his friendly demeanor! He is sweet.”

Rei: “Hayato is an entertainer! I can see how that would be.”

Hayato: “Even just a retreat would be nice! We could practice dance in the morning, eat breakfast together…it sounds good!”
