We launch our MADE IN JAPAN capsule collection, based on the concepts “active”,”colorful” and “effortless”. The collection, created with environmentally friendly materials, is created with a commitment to comfort and exquisite silhouettes.

The MADE IN JAPAN capsule collection is produced from start to finish in Japan. The collection aims to provide a comfortable feel and designs that can be enjoyed for years with enhanced pleasure.

Two types of materials are used. One is TENCEL™ modal fabric, said to be softer than regular cotton and well-known for its comfortable feel on the skin. The second type is Lyocell TENCEL™ fiber. These fibers regulate the proliferation of bacteria* and are superior even among other TENCEL™ fibers for their ruggedness and soft feel on the skin, as well as for superb moisture retention and water absorption properties. (* Verified for Corynebacterium and Pseudomonas aeruginosa)
The pulp, the raw material, is taken from wood cultivated according to sustainable methods that are FSC/PEFC (Forest Certification System) certified. Moreover, the solvent used to dissolve the fibers is recovered and recycled using Lenzing’s unique recycling system.

The items are dyed by Nihon Kasen Co., Ltd. of Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture according to an environmentally friendly process that, compared to traditional methods, reduces the amount of energy and water required. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are made using Mamiya Co., Ltd. knitting machines, hard to find even in Japan. As the machines’ daily fiber knitting capacity is only about 150 meters a day, manufacturing a single product is a slow process.

The present collection consists of two series. The TENCEL™ Modal fibers SERIES uses TENCEL™ modal fabric in 12 colors. Items run from simple tops to long dresses suitable for both casual and formal occasions. The second series is the TENCEL™　Lyocell fibers SERIES using TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers in 6 colors. The items in this series include tops and bottoms in subdued colors. Coordinate them as you like.
