Onitsuka Tiger which was founded by Kihachiro Onitsuka in 1949 will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024. Inheriting the founder’s hopes to “do work that will support people’s hopes and dreams and connect to the future,” the company will keep up the good work setting its sights toward its 100th anniversary year. To celebrate 75th years in the business, anniversary events will be held in Champs-Élysées Paris and in Tokyo.

“Hôtel Onitsuka Tiger” in Paris has produced a space where artists across industries can assemble to exchange ideas in complete freedom.
The space is a cultural heritage building that is not normally unveiled to the general public built in the 18th century along the world-famous Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. In this very special establishment, Onitsuka Tiger will greet guests in iconic yellow décor.


During the installation period, guests can enjoy unique Japanese food culture at the YELLOW TIGER CAFÉ inside the hotel.

Onitsuka Tiger 75th Anniversary Event in TOKYO

In Tokyo, “Onitsuka Tiger 75th Anniversary Event in TOKYO” will be held to express Onitsuka Tiger’s past, present, and its progress toward its 100th anniversary. The event will feature a photo exhibition of 75 pairs of Onitsuka Tiger archival shoes, each filled with its own story and aspirations, including the pair that helped launch the brand, the pair that became a game changer for the times, and the pair that inspired the brand to spread from Japan to the world. The exhibition will also feature a world premiere exhibit of art pieces inspired by Onitsuka Tiger and a short movie tour of Onitsuka Tiger stores around the world, created using full computer graphics, XR technology, and motion capture, as well as an installation of the latest collection. In addition, five 75th anniversary items will be unveiled at the event, offering the first opportunity for visitors to see the redesigned, modern reinterpretations of models that have been the catalysts for Onitsuka Tiger’s birth, leaps, challenges, and evolution.

*On the final day, Sunday, August 25th, the event will run from 11:00am to 5:00pm, with the last admission at 4:30pm.
