【OK BASKETBALL】A model with a classic look and some Onitsuka Tiger history

ASCICS’ predecessor, Onitsuka Co., Ltd, was established in 1949. The following year, they launched a mid-top basketball shoe that was a fusion model.
This year marks their 70th year in business, and that historic basketball shoe has been used as the base for a new fusion model, the OK BASKETBALL MT, as well as integrated into a fusion model combining it with a low-top, the OK BASKETBALL LO. They’ll be released sequentially in the order listed, starting January 12th.

The shape, upper material, stitching, iconic metallic eyelets, and the rubber patch on the side of the uppers all hearken back to that classic basketball shoe look from 1950 that these two modern incarnations are based on. Plus, the Tiger logo on the tongue has a special construction just for these models.

While the design is based on the original model, the feel has been updated for modern comfort. The insoles provide cushioning and stability, for a very nice level of comfort.

For the OK BASKETBALL MT as well as the OK BASKETBALL LO, we have a casual canvas option, as well as a sophisticated leather option.
