Our DERBY style combines timeless design and modern ingenuity. Adding technical material to the instep gives this style a superior fit. Every detail has been meticulously engineered for both form and function. Starting with the instep, we have added rubber to the instep for a superior fit.
The upper is made from made-in-Japan leather, produced using traditional methods. This leather’s source, the town of Himeji, is world-renowned for its leather made from Kobe cattle. The sole is made from various materials in varying firmness, including αGEL Foam, for excellent cushioning, arch support and shock absorbency. The outer sole is made from rubber sponge, combining both durability and cushioning. Its form is based on training shoes from our own archives, with a thick shark tread sole and circles at impact zones.
