Updated with a recycled leather upper, we pay tribute to the Onitsuka Tiger’s DELEGATION EX™ model in new eco-friendly ways. The materials used on the Onitsuka Tiger Stripes and toe have distinctive black and orange speckling. This coloration is a natural feature of the recycled material, and serves as a testament to the style’s eco-friendly construction. The DELEGATION EX™TM model is a modernized style based on the shoe worn by Japanese national team at the international sport event held in 1964. The "TOKYO ONITSUKA" logo on the shoe tongue is a replica of the design detail from the original style. Adding functionality, the Onitsuka Tiger Stripes have shoelace loops seamlessly integrated into the design.
This version of Eco friendly pack is distinguished by a new recycle leather on upper.
The devised finishing process of recycled leather provides more natural appearance than conventional recycled leather.
Normally recycled leather surface is PU coated to color its face.
The new recycled leather is finished without face coating treatment (coating/pigment) or dyeing. The black or orange spots are coming from actual leather scraps collected from leather tannery.
This method can reduce water/pigment/other chemicals and energy for recycling.
