The LIMBER is one of the most iconic shoes from the 1960's archive, as it was a prototype training shoes for the brand that was used as a multi-purpose athletic shoes. Since the first LIMBER debuted in 1960, this shoes has been updated regularly and this is the 1966's updated type.
1966's was one of the first shoes to boast the Onitsuka Tiger Stripe (Mexico Stripes) that became a design base for current Onitsuka Tiger's icon model, MEXICO 66. The rubber sponge outer sole features the original herringbone pattern from 1966's model. For updated cushioning and comfortability, socklining is equipped with the 6mm thickness GEL that is adopted for the first time on the shoes.Since starting in 2008, the "Nippon Made" collection conveys Japan's craftsmanship of making things. Building one of these shoes is a labour-intensive process: from the stitching to the dying, every step is done by a skilled hand. Everything from the materials used, and the attention to detail, portrays the height of Japan's artisanal quality.
