TEIKYU is based on the PASSING tennis shoe, originally developed in 1971. A special feature is the stitching reinforcement on the lateral side of the upper, which is designed to support the sideways movements typically made during tennis. The retro pop art design of the insole contrasts nicely with the simple style of the upper. TEIKYU means “yard ball” and “tennis” in Japanese.
